How to Play
VERDICT is a digital courtroom debate game. Open a case as a Prosecutor or join as a Defendant. Trade statements, then let the judge decree the verdict.
Roles
Prosecutor
- Opens a case with suspect + alleged offense.
- Argues for a Guilty verdict.
Defendant
- Joins open cases that lack a defense.
- Argues for a Not Guilty verdict.
Trial Types
One-Shot (fast)
- Prosecutor opens the case.
- Defendant replies once.
- Judge decrees the verdict.
Great for quick matches. No extra turns.
Full (structured)
Each side makes 4 statements:
- Opening
- Running #1
- Running #2
- Closing
After all statements, the Judge delivers the final verdict.
The Supreme Judge
The judge, which may be an AI, reads the full debate transcript and weighs the arguments (and community votes if enabled). It then issues a verdict: Guilty or Not Guilty, with reasoning.
Key Rules
- Don’t post twice in a row—wait for your opponent or the judge.
- One-Shot: exactly one reply from the Defendant.
- Full: follow the 4-statement sequence per side.
- Once closed, verdicts are final.
Quick Start
